Testing Getting Over / Recovery from Trying Times

Lots of upsetting events being reported on TV in the world at present.  One way to aid getting over it, is to take time out to reflect, then experiment with some positives.  Perhaps go outside, do some art/craft, light candles at home or place of worship, sing or do something else positively creative.  The text in the picture below includes pieces of umbrella (brolly fabric).

Free Electric Bike Update

I mentioned in an earlier posting the potential use of Free Electric bikes and recently received news that a pilot has started in India.  Brilliant news please see the Free Electric India Pilot May 2016 video.   It would be even better to know if the materials used were from recycled metals as suggested in the icon below.

Pentecost Season

Pentecost Season

A good explanation of Pentecost can be found in the bible New Testament book of Acts chapter 2, Wikipedia or a variety of Christian websites.  Part of the event includes a sound like a mighty rushing wind which caused Jesus' disciples / apostles to speak in other languages.

The display of kites below uses umbrella (brolly), fabric.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter

The egg, cross and background fabric are all made from umbrella fabric.

I reckon that the hen had to be created before the egg was produced!

Impression of Pangaea

An impression of Pangaea made from Brolly (umbrella Fabric)

The image below represents an impression of Plangaea, (earth world), where we all came from prior to the continential drift. Somewhere in there is the original garden of Eden,  a place where we can aspire to recreate in our current gardens and cities.

Solar Still Brolly ...(part 7f) Vegetation in the Desert 2016

Solar Still Brolly ...(part 7f)  Vegetation in the Desert  2016

Positive images from this January 2016 upload showing that greenery can be resurrected from the desert.  In this case, the area includes Lake Lyre in Australia.

So there's scope to keep the eco-cycle going there by possibly planting trees and edible crops.
If it hadn't rain there, it could possibly be one of the deserts where sea / ocean water could be applied.

Solar Still Brolly ...(part 7e)

Solar Still Brolly ...(part 7e), Potential Plants in the desert for treating Malaria

According to the website Malaria Remedy, there are a number of natural ways to treat malaria including the consumption of: Citrus fruits, Cinnamon, Holy Basil, Ginger and Raisins.
Also, in terms of creating a mosquito free area, look to draining swamps and growing plants in the area instead!

Well done to Mr Osborne and Mr Gates for thinking about improving the lives of millions. The reference to food (too much or too little!), and disease is very much linked.

Perhaps universities can research and calculate the approximate quantities of trees / shrubs / dosage required to help.  Then the appropriate plants can be grown in the affected areas and used to treat patients accordingly.

Solar Still Brolly ...(part 7d), Blooming in the desert

Seeing various plants still growing in the garden during this winter period makes me think this concept can be a reality in the near future, (if not already!).  A quantity of water sloshing around the seas and oceans can be applied via existing technology, to the deserts around the world.

Brolly Flood Barrier concept (1)

So 2016 has arrived.  Happy New Year!
Nonetheless, sparing a thought and more for those affected with flooding.  Here's another positive idea using an earlier countryside model made of recycled materials. Adapt some brolly, (umbrella) material to create waterproof barrier around properties.

Using the Broken Umbrella (Brolly) Frame....for energy (part 3)

Could this method also be used to generate electricity for aspects of historic buildings (e.g. lighting) ?

Using the Broken Umbrella (Brolly) Frame....for energy (part 2)

Could this method also be used to generate energy for an electric car for n miles?

Using the Brolly (umbrella), Frame for energy (part 1)

So the COP21 Climate Summit has drawn to a close. Now it’s up to us all to do our bit to help keep below the necessary 2 degrees celsius.  I recently watched an interesting video, Billions in Change.  A potential use for the umbrella frame is to recycle them and perhaps use them in the production of Free Electric bikes shown in the video, that produce electricity for people, located in rural areas, in the developing parts of the world.    These bikes could also be used in times of power outage due to climate disasters.  On an even lighter note, they could possibly be used by anyone running a business and wanting to keep fit at the same time by cycling the static bike for 1 hour a day!
