Solar Still Brolly ...(part 7e), Potential Plants in the desert for treating Malaria
According to the website Malaria Remedy, there are a number of natural ways to treat malaria including the consumption of: Citrus fruits, Cinnamon, Holy Basil, Ginger and Raisins.
Also, in terms of creating a mosquito free area, look to draining swamps and growing plants in the area instead!
Well done to Mr Osborne and Mr Gates for thinking about improving the lives of millions. The reference to food (too much or too little!), and disease is very much linked.
Perhaps universities can research and calculate the approximate quantities of trees / shrubs / dosage required to help. Then the appropriate plants can be grown in the affected areas and used to treat patients accordingly.
Sharing ideas on how the fabric of broken umbrellas (Brollies), can be used. Of course, pass the metal frames on to metal collectors...

Solar Still Brolly ...(part 7d), Blooming in the desert
Seeing various plants still growing in the garden during this winter period makes me think this concept can be a reality in the near future, (if not already!). A quantity of water sloshing around the seas and oceans can be applied via existing technology, to the deserts around the world.
